Discover the City in Transition

Visitors to the Biennial will be struck by the astonishing pace of regeneration in Liverpool's City Centre. The city's history of rise, fall and recovery is beginning to be hidden by the impressive construction sites that pepper the city centre. The experience of walking through the city provides a context for the exhibitions, so we hope you find this as stimulating as the art itself.

The downloadable Biennial 2006 map on this page provides a suggested route around some of the principal exhibitions and public realm pieces in this year's festival to help you plan your visit in advance. We'd also recommend that once you arrive in Liverpool you pick up The Guide available at Lime Street Station, Tourist Information Centres or any of the venues featured on the map to find out more.
